Code Of Conduct

The Dance School Awards is committed to fostering a safe, welcoming, and
empowering environment for all performers, staff, and families. We hold a
zero-tolerance policy toward any form of racism, sexism, bullying, harassment, or
discrimination. We believe in the dignity of every individual and are dedicated to
ensuring our event is free from:

● Racism & Anti-LGBTQ+ behaviour: All forms of hate speech, racial prejudice,
or intolerance.
● Sexism & Sexual Misconduct: Including harassment, inappropriate
touching, or gender-based discrimination.
● Bullying & Verbal/Emotional Abuse: Including name-calling, intimidation,
or exclusion.
● Unsafe practices or bringing the organisation into disrepute.

Any behaviour that violates this policy—whether in person, online, or on social
media—will be investigated immediately. Breaches may result in staff/parent/your
child being removed from the event.

Performers, staff and parents are requested to treat others as they would expect
to be treated themselves. Negative comments about others' appearance or ability
are not welcomed.

Parents are asked to disclose any medical information, allergies or injuries that
students may have on the registration form and to provide any amendments to
this information if necessary. Parents are also asked to recognise that as with any
physical activity there can be a risk of injury and therefore release The Dance
School Awards and its teachers from any liability.

The Dance School Awards are committed to the Health and Safety for everyone
involved in the rehearsals and event.

The studios and venue that we hire are responsible for the building's
maintenance, maintenance of safety appliances such as fire extinguishers,
electrical safety, maintenance of toilet and kitchen areas, maintenance of heating
systems and general cleaning of the facilities.

While the above responsibilities for risk assessments lie with the studios and
venue, anyone who has concerns about the safety of the building, or is aware of
risk is to report it to the The Dance School Awards who will then inform the
relevant authority at any of the studios or venue.

In the case of an accident causing injury, first aid boxes with basic supplies are
available, for more serious injuries, depending on the extent of injury, professional
medical assistance will be requested either by calling the emergency services or
by escorting the injured individual to a place where they can receive treatment. In
all cases parents will be informed, in the case of minor injuries at the end of class,
when professional medical assistance is required they will be informed
immediately. All accidents will be recorded and logged in our Medical records
book.

The Dance School Awards will only allow performances to take place where Risk
Assessments have been carried out on the venues by the landlords and the
facilities are deemed suitable to engage in performance.

The Dance School Awards will only use qualified personnel and engage in safe
practice.
